Goalie Instructor - Bill Manuel
Bill is a seasoned veteran at International Goalie Camps. Bill has worked alongside NHL Hall of Famer, Vladislav Tretiak, for over 15 years. Bill was Tretiaks lead instructor for all his camps which included Detroit Lakes, MN, Toronto, Ontario, Chicago, IL and Redwood City, CA. Bill is a tremendous teach of the game and will provide each student the confidence needed to move to the next level.
My son, Triston, and I went to camp this past June in Detroit Lakes. It was the second summer we have attended. I attended the Intermediate Goalie camp and Triston went to the Shooting and Scoring camp. I have to tell you, that the week Triston and I spend at IHS is always one of the best ones of the year for us! We get to learn about the sport we love from coaches who are second to none, and we always make tons of friends throughout the week. Detroit Lakes, also, is absolutely gorgeous in the summer.
International Hockey Schools has become a "rite of summer" for Triston and I. We are already looking forward to coming back again in 2009.

On-Ice Training
Our specialized station regimen challenges you to perfect your fundamentals with and without shooters. Along with Bill Manuel we have 4 additional goalie coaches giving you a 5:1 goalie to coach ratio to maximize your learning experience.
- Serious Fundamental Work

- 2-3 Ice Sessions per day

Off-Ice Training
Our off-ice program includes hand-eye/foot-hand drills to improve reaction time, intense agility, flexibility, balance and endurance training to increase your speed and confidence in the net.

Classroom
In the classroom, Tretiak will talk to you about his proven path to success-Dedication, Determination and Discipline - his own struggles and victories. A daily video critique with your coaches will give you additional help in your fundamental analysis.

Weekly Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 1 hours On-Ice in the morning - no shooters
- 1 hour Off-Ice in the morning
- 1-1/4 hour On-Ice in afternoon - with shooters
- 1 hour Classroom session in afternoon
- Monday & Wednesday
- 1 Hour On-Ice Night Session for younger group
- Tuesday & Thursday
- 1 Hour On-Ice Night Session for older group
Games
On Monday we will schedule goalies for evening games and/or other on-ice practice sessions.
