Goalie Instructor: Bryce Luker

Coach LukerBryce was drafted as an underager in the 4th round of the QMJHL Draft to the Quebec Remparts in 2001. In 2003, Bryce accepted full scholarship to Michigan Tech University (WCHA), He ranked top 5 for games played by a freshmen, was nominated for Rookie of the week, ranked 3rd on Central Scouting’s final college goalie rankings for NHL Draft, and played in the WCHA All-Academic team.Before leaving MTU for the Junior A Hockey League in Canada, Bryce ranked 5th on Central Scouting’s final college goalie rankings for NHL Draft.

Bryce spent 2005 in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) playing for the Burnaby Express. He played in 73 games, was awarded Player of the Month, and won an impressive list of titles including:

  • The 3 Star Cup,
  • Team’s Scholar Athlete and Volunteer of the Year Award
  • League Title - The Fred Page Cup
  • Regional Title - The Doyle Cup
  • Playoff MVP, National Title - The RBC Cup.
  • He was inducted into the Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame

In 2006-2007 Bryce accepted a Scholarship to attend Canisius College in Atlantic Hockey (NCAA D1). Bryce was the New England Hockey Journal Player of the Week for 43 saves vs. St-Cloud State University in a 3-3 tie - First time ever that Canisius College had gotten a point from a ranked opponent, SCSU was ranked 17th in the country at the time. Bryce also completed his BA in Economics.

Bryce played with the Chi-Town Shooters in 08-09 winning the regular season and playoffs Champions Cup. Currently, Bryce is playing in France, Division 1.
